As a part of our community, it is gratifying to be in a position where we can help others in need. This was a recent situation with Lisa, Baz and Sam on 92.9's Breakfast Show. They run a regular segment called 'To The Rescue' where, as the name would infer, they lend a helping hand to people who really need it.
Jeff, a
vibrant, energetic Toodyay man suffered a tragic accident which left him a quadriplegic and unable to get around his home with his family. Wife Lyn and Daughter Lisa sent out the call to the popular Breakfast Show and Sovereign and many contributors were glad to refit Jeff's home to enable him to return from Hospital to at least some semblance of his former family life.

We loved the experience and the chance to help out in a situation that required someone to step in and give a little back.

They say no good deed goes unrewarded and we were most gratified to receive this email below from a listener.....
Dear David,
I have been wanting to send you this email for some time.
I always listen to 92.9 and if I remember correctly I think it was a Friday, on this station you can send an email if someone you know is going through a bad time. This story was about a man from Toodyay who was due to go on his first trip overseas with his wife. We had some bad storms and his dog was lost. He decided to go looking for his dog on his motorbike, but unfortunately he came off the bike and ended up getting badly hurt.
He could no longer walk and was in Shenton Park rehab. As his home was not wheelchair friendly, it needed major building works for wheelchair access. I heard Lisa mention Sovereign Builders who came to the rescue and I heard you say what work you were going to do to make this familys life a bit more comfortable. I was touched, almost in tears.... I also heard you went to visit him in Shenton Park Rehab. That was amazing from you and Sovereign Building.
I also came to find out Daniel donated his time fantastic work Daniel that's great. I haven't heard a follow up story to this amazing story and I hope it hasn't been lost in the system. We as listeners, need to hear how this family is doing and the impact you all have made on there lives.
Great work David.
